satsuma body butter

I have been buying this product for several years, for myself as well as gifts (6 jumbo size plus smaller sizes over the last year alone). I've always received compliments on how it smells like "fresh cut oranges". The last 2 shipments I received have smelled like plastic with a hint of orange. I've already returned one shipment but decided to give it another try. I thought maybe I just got a bad batch. Unfortunately, that was not the case. Whatever change was made to the formulation has greatly diminished the quality of the product. Sadly, I will not purchase this again.

This is my favourite of ALL the Body Shop scents! People are always questioning and complimenting what it is. It makes me feel energized when i put it on and although i do not live in North America everyone in my family knows that when they travel...the only thing i want is Satsuma!! LOL
I do agree with a previous review that sometimes you can get a batch that doesn't have the same consistency of scent as the others. But that's my one flaw....

Excellent Body Butter-Exceptional Scent

I was given this body butter last year as a gift and have been hooked since. All the body butters really get the job done on dry skin especially in the dry winter months. Love the feel (not greasy), soaks in quick and the scent is to die for.

My favorite body butter

I've been using Body Shop body butter for more than 10 years. I started with Olive Oil (loved the fresh barely there "green" scent) and eventually fell madly in love with Satsuma, which is my daily and only all-over moisturizer. I live in the mountains of eastern Arizona where summers can be dry, the elevation can be rough on the skin, and the winter winds are harsh. Body butter keeps me scale free. My one complaint is that I think depending on the "batch", the Satsuma odor can be quiet different from container to container. I buy multiple containers at a time and while one may smell super wonderfully orange-y, another container might smell like nothing, or worse, kind of medicine-y.
